CONTEMPORARY DANCE
Rhiannon Morgan
The focus of the class lies in encouraging and supporting decision flexibility of the participants in their approach to both performative and movement materials. Through a progressive and dynamic warm up drawing from techniques such as Cunningham and Release technique, the class will explore the function of the spine as a tool that can provide efficiency, direction in space and a wider range of risk taking motion. In a playful and creative environment, new possibilities will be explored whereby modes and habits of movement might give way to mental and physical availability and curiosity.
Rhiannon Morgan completed her studies at the age of 17 in the Conservatory of Music and Dance of Luxembourg. She graduated with a BA from The Rambert School Of Dance and later on completed her Masters degree at The Place, London Contemporary Dance School (2009/2010). As a professional dancer, she collaborated with Akram Khan (GB), Cocoon Dance Company (DE), Henri Oguike Dance Company (NG), Nicholas Vladyslav (FR), National Theatre of Northern Greece, Jean-Guillaume Weis (LU) and Anu Sistonen (FI) among others.
